FAQs

  • Telehealth

Secure, real-time two-way communication with your therapist. You can have sessions during times that best fit your schedule and may otherwise not be possible if you had to commute to and from a physical office. MPS provides telehealth services only.

Most laptops/desktops are compatible for teletherapy; many smartphones are compatible as well. However, check your technology in advance of your appointment.

Chrome/Firefox work better than Safari or Explorer. Ensure your device’s volume is up and that you use earbuds/headset for additional privacy.

Please log on 5 mins early to ensure you don’t have any difficulty with the technology.

  • Cancellation Policy

We have found that therapy and counseling are most beneficial when you log in on-time for your session and attend every session as scheduled. However, we understand there are times when scheduled sessions must be canceled and or rescheduled.

If a scheduled appointment needs to be canceled, please do so within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time. Appointments can be canceled by calling: 1-833-605-0634 and leaving a message or emailing your provider directly.

Failure to attend a scheduled appointment or canceling less than 24 hours prior to a scheduled appointment may result in me being charged a $75.00 no-show/late cancelation fee, which must be paid prior to rescheduling.

MPS reserves the right to discontinue services if you have 2 or more no-show/late cancelations

  • Location

For each session you must be located within the same state where your provider is licensed. If you move out of state or are in another state, please inform the provider to confirm reciprocity for providing services within that state.

Please do not conduct other activities while in session, such as driving a vehicle, shopping, working, and/or receiving other services. Your therapist has reserved this time to ensure full attentiveness to you as the client.

Be in an area that is safe and provides privacy/confidentiality.

Please do not have anyone else in the session unless it has first been discussed and agreed upon with your provider prior to the session

  • Copays/Deductibles

Clients with copays and deductibles will be invoiced via Square monthly. All balances must be paid in order to avoid pausing services. It is the clients responsibility to understand their copay/deductibles.

  • Minors

Minors under the age of 16 years old receiving telehealth counseling services, must have a parent/guardian present on site. A parent or guardian should always be present during the first session with minors that are not old enough to consent for treatment based on the laws in their state.
